2 As a result of roadworks on Tamborine Oxenford Road, the Upper Coomera Cenotaph is being relocated to Tallowwood Park off Rose Valley Drive. The Rotary Club of Coomera Valley, as community custodians of the Cenotaph, have worked closely with the Dept of Main Roads and Gold Coast City Council regarding the new location. (Construction underway and TMR advise it will be completed in time for Anzac Day 2025. The Rotary Club confirms that the event will proceed as always with a March and Service. The only difference from the past will be the new location. The club will still be providing the opportunity for returned servicemen and women and their families, schools, service clubs and the community to pay their respects by marching and attending the Service. Details of the event are as follows; 1. Origin of March will be Highland Reserve State School main hall building. 2. Rotary Anzac Display will be in the main school hall 3. March will leave the school hall at 9.00 am and proceed down Highland Way and Rose Valley Drive to the Cenotaph in Tallowwood Park for the Service. 4. The Service will be preceded by a re Dedication of the recently relocated Cenotaph. 5. The Service is intended to start at approximately 9.30 am and will be complete by 10.30. 6. Some road closures will be in place along Highland Way and Rose Valley drive (see later advice re detail). The Rotary Club of Coomera Valley invites the community to come along to the new location and continue to pay their respects to those who have served and continued to serve our country and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Please follow the Rotary Club of Coomera Valley Facebook page (https:// www.facebook.com/RotaryCCV/) for more information on the event as it comes to hand. There will be an event page you can share with your friends The Rotary Club of Coomera Valley Anzac Day 2025 and family. Community members can also email the club at coomeravalleyrotary@ gmail.com The club would like to hear from any community members who might like to volunteer on the day.
